At Arcelormittal Maizières Bars & Wires, you will join a multi-cultural laboratory composed of 50 engineers and technicians organized in three teams, working on the development of new steel and process solutions. You will develop competencies and contribute to the engineering of automotive solutions and components by considering standard forming technologies or additive manufacturing. This activity is linked to the promotion of ArcelorMittal product catalog for automotive applications.

Your role

In this context, you will be responsible of CAE studies and management of partners and/or sub-contractors. Within a team, you will participate to research projects aiming at developing solutions and components in steel for new vehicle structures with regards to lightweighting, passive safety, cost efficiency and CO2 reduction.

As Research engineer, your missions will be : 

Participation to research projects on Design and engineering of vehicle sub-systems,
Participation to multidisciplinary projects (methodology, product, process, testing...)
Analysis and use of complex CAD models
Finite Element Analysis, simulations with software such as CATIA or ABAQUS
Management of partners and/or subcontractors providing results to the project.
Participation to the Creativity and Quality process

Your profile

Master’s degree in mechanical engineering 
Mechanical Engineering background with experience in structural engineering
Knowledge in Finite Element simulation software such as CATIA, ABAQUS , FORGE.
High level in communication skills, innovation oriented 
Experience in automotive industry or design office would be a plus.
Knowledge in material science and forge domain is an advantage. 
Advanced levels of English and French. German speaker appreciated
